I loved everything about this wedding! Paige has great taste (you too, Blaine). I especially loved her dress (which had pockets by the way! = awesome!) but also her shoes, and jewelry. All these details that were put into the wedding were absolutely precious as well. These two are a fun-loving, laid-back, kind, artistic couple; it was truly a pleasure to meet them. More than anything, I feel so blessed to have witnessed these two’s wedding vows. So beautiful. It seriously brought tears to my eyes (which makes taking pictures awfully difficult). I think almost everyone in the room had tears of joy, especially the bride and groom. The love they have for each other and the Lord was clearly evident in their ceremony and their vows to each other. I just know amazing things will happen for this couple, who so earnestly serve the Lord. Hope you enjoy this lil’ preview of their lovely wedding.

It was a family affair for sure. The bridesmaids were Paige's sister and sister-in-law and Blaine's groomsmen were his brother and sister.

So cute. Aren't they?

This was probably my favorite moment from the ceremony. Paige pulled out this feather (from her nifty dress pockets) and explained a story of how Blaine mailed this to her while he was in Africa. It's from some type of bird that spends it's whole life with only one mate. It was a really special story and moment - it was the point where I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. Beautiful.

Blaine's father did the ceremony. It was really sweet. My favorite line of Blaine's was "I always wondered what my wife would be like...and wow!" Ha. And Paige's letter to Blaine started out with "my dad told me never to date anyone with long hair, earrings, or tatoos, and well..." Ha! Everyone had a pretty good laugh over that one.

I saw this in their guest book. Thought it was pretty cute. It was written by Blaine's niece, one of their flower girls.

Her band was her mother's. I thought that was pretty neat.

High-fivin' everyone on the way out!

Started my 2012 off to a great start with a gorgeous wedding and a beautiful day. You couldn’t have asked for better weather: a cloudless, 60 degree day in January. Perfect. Whitney and Matt’s day seemed to flow seamlessly without a hitch. We even had plenty of time to just sit and relax before the ceremony…that rarely happens! Even all the lil’ ones in the bridal party completed their parts with flying colors. Baby Carrington was sure to look right at the camera as she was passing by on her royal chariot of a wagon all decked out in silk and flowers. The church was beautiful. I loved it. Totally my taste. The entrance was gorgeous, plus I love doors…especially red ones, so I was all set! Hope you enjoy this lil’ taste of Whitney and Matt’s lovely wedding!

I just love doing fun, girlie shots! Ha!

Boys and their naughty jokes...jeez.

This just makes me think of Pride and Prejudice; one of my all-time favorite movie scenes. I loved the cinematography of that scene. SO romantic!

I just adore this girl! She's just chillen with her buds. Ha.

Grace was cracking me up at the wedding. She was purely heart-broken. Her eyes would just fill with tears out of no where. She just so badly wanted to go on the honeymoon. I don't know why Whitney and Matt weren't all for that idea...

Sassy lil' thang!

Gorgeous church, inside and out…

Every girl loves a lil' somethin' from Tiffany's.

No one can resist THIS face!

Bubble machines for the exit. Genius!!!!

It was a gorgeous 50 degree December Saturday when these two got married. They chose to have a private elopement ceremony held at the beautiful Overholser Mansion in North Oklahoma City. These two met while actually being neighbors, although they actually work at the same place! They’re both professors at Oklahoma State University. They hit it off so well that Celeste just ended up moving a couple of houses over! They’re a lovely pair and as giddy as two teenagers in love. Their personal vows to each other were a definite indication that these two are just head over heels for each other. Their vows were overflowing with some of the most powerful and romantic statements I’ve ever heard. It was a very emotional day to take part in. Everyone was teary-eyed. (Which everyone included: the bride, the groom, the officiant, and myself). That’s right! I even got to sign the marriage license as a witness. It was very intimate and an honor to be chosen to be a part of it.

If you're looking for a more unique, smaller wedding setting - this is a perfect choice. To have a wedding here it's simply $100 an hour. Most weddings are held outdoors on the lawn near the water fountain. I bet they can accommodate at least 100 guests. Check this place out!

Pretty much everything in the house is the original. Including this stained glass.

Original everything, people - wall furnishings, furniture, and even the hand-painted designs on the walls. The only family that lived in this home was the Overholsers, it was simply passed down a couple of generations then donated to the city with all the furnishings. Quite amazing.

This was the music room. Stunning. I would have loved to have some of the furniture pieces in this home.

Again, just an extremely emotional ceremony.

So cute and flirty all checkin' each other out.

Literally, this was a fairy tale wedding. Everything about this wedding related to Disney…from the cake, to the bouquet, to every song played, even down to the guest book. You just know if the wedding is any evidence of how the remainder of their marriage will go, Adam will truly treat Paige like a princess and give her everything in his power. It’s quite precious how they are together. Adam is more of a quiet and reserved type whereas Paige is the outgoing, bubbly positive person. Opposites attract. And they sure fit quite perfect together. Their wedding was on OU/OSU game day (I know, I know – what were they thinking) but their actual wedding date on their marriage license is on December 6th, which is actually 3 days after their wedding. Adam’s grandparents got married that day in 1941 – yup for those that do quick math – that’s 70 years ago! And they’re still goin’ strong and were even able to make it to the wedding! So Paige and Adam thought that would be the perfect day to celebrate their anniversary as well. Amazingly enough she also found a 1941 penny to put in her shoe too. I love those lil’ details. Hope you enjoy a taste of their fairy tale wedding.

Clearly I’m obsessed with black and white photos – especially for weddings. I can’t help it. It just makes them seem so much more timeless. I love that.

They took dance lessons. So of course I had to make them show off their sweet new moves.

Such lovely details. She put a lot of thought into everything...including making her own bouquet. I was impressed!

I loved all the details at Alea and Brad’s wedding! So much thought and creativity was put into all the weddings plans and it definitely show’s. I just had to include a list (as I am a big list person) of some of the details I loved in Alea and Brad’s wedding.

  1. The sixpence that was the year of her mother’s birth (which also came from Scotland where Alea studied for over a year) and this was placed in her shoe instead of a penny.
  2. The hankerchief she carried during the ceremony her grandmother made for her that had her initial on it.
  3. Her wedding dress that was hand-crafting with the help of Alea’s design imagination.
  4. The gnome decor that was included by the guest book that Alea took everywhere she traveled in Europe. The one pictured below is Cornelius.
  5. The unique guest book filled with encouraging words and marriage advice that paralleled with photos of all the guests.
  6. The Mad Lib RSVP cards guests filled out and returned to the bride and she used it as part of her back drop for her photo booth.
  7. She also had numerous signs everywhere to help direct guests and all were filled with very cute lil’ phrases.
  8. The Shetland Pony horseshoe she had attached to her bouquet to bring their marriage good luck.
  9. The super cute tissue balls Alea and her family had made for the reception and table bouquets.
  10. All the lovely, unique, and exquisite lace tableclothes for the reception. Not a single one was alike. Several of them came from Europe as well.
  11. The garter that she bought in Scotland that had the popular Scottish plaid print on it.
  12. AND lastly, one of my most favorite aspects: the classic car! It was her uncles and they got to ride away in it. It was super cool and classy.

Clearly, I loved a lot about their wedding. But not only that, I loved just seeing the love they have for each other. I know I shoot a lot of weddings and you would think they just wouldn’t phase me, but sometimes it just hits home and I begin to tear up. During the ceremony I just remember Brad looking into Alea’s eyes and mouthing “I love you.” Three little words but the expression on his face just gave it so much power and caused a huge lump to just well up in my throat. Then he said “you look so beautiful.” Alea said thank you as she shied away from it and I just lost it. Tears just seeped out. All love and all couples are so unique and I just love being a witness to such a love. It makes you realize and think about the really important things in life. The wedding was planned beautiful with lots of little details planned to perfection, but strip that all away, and you still have the pure, potent love of two people committing the rest of their lives together. Its such a beautiful and powerful thing. So a big thanks so Alea and Brad for letting me take a small part in witnessing the great love you have for each other.

So clever.

Are they not just super adorable?!

Most adorable siblings and flower girls/ring bearer ever. The youngest just loves her big brother. It's quite precious.

Gotta have the "Go Pokes" shot for such OSU fans as these!

LOVED her dress. Very unique.

Brad and Alea, I just now got a chance to see your beautiful pictures of your wedding. What a loving couple you are. I can tell that you both are so happy! Love all the special things you had with you, and love the beautiful dress, Alea. I have never met you, but I was Brad’s first grade teacher, and I love him very much. He was just as sweet then as he is now. Best of luck and get well quickly and get home for Christmas. Praying for your recovery, Brad. Alea, take care of yourself so you can take care of Brad when you get him home. Love, Sandy Hodges

You know how they say opposites attract? Well, I wouldn’t necessarily classify these two as opposites, but they definitely have a way of balancing each other out. Adam is this out-going, relaxed, down-to-earth, hilarious country boy. And Kendra is a sweet, calm, caring, organized teacher from the city. Their qualities mesh together nicely. They click so well that for their bride and groom gift, they actually gave each other the exact same Bible. I thought that was really sweet. Both had their names imprinted on them too. Kendra and Adam’s special day went by without a single glitch. After Jennifer’s wedding and Kendra’s wedding I had experienced two weddings in a row where everyone was ready on time! It was unbelievable and awesome! We ended up with plenty of time to relax before the ceremony started; it was nice. One of my favorite things at their wedding was their Candy Bar, it was one of the best I’ve seen! She made an adorable sign for it and decorated the table with cute labels orange lights (to go with her color scheme) – I loved it! I wish these two the best of luck and the most happiness life has to offer!

Isn't he just adorable? <<Visually just insert his pillow instead of the ball>>

I love that more and more bridesmaids dresses have pockets! So functional!

I love this shot. She was such a cute, giggly bride!

I love doing shots like this! Makes me crack up!

Jenn is a personal friend of mine and I was thrilled and honored when she asked me to shoot her wedding! It was such a pleasure to play a close role to Jenn and Michael throughout their big day. These two love birds actually met at work. They both work at OU Med Center; Jenn is a nurse there and Michael is in his residency. Apparently these two were destined for each other as Michael was voted “Most Likely to Flirt with a Nurse” in med school…and well, I think Jenn was glad he did! On the big day, they were both so calm and collected; I was so impressed! I think a big factor that attributed to that was that they were surrounded by lots of awesome family and friends that helped them plan their day to a T and take care of everything on the big day. Even both mothers were just relaxing soaking in the reality of it all which is sometimes rare, so I was pleased to see they were able to enjoy everything. The whole day went smoothly and we all had a great time! It was a beautiful wedding!

Is this blue sky just not stunning???

I love this look. So sweet.

I just love doing fun shots like this!

Boys. They're always up to something.

SUCH a gorgeous day!

I love the title for this post: A. because it’s a great flavor of snow-cone and B. because the maid of honor included in her toast speech the fact that Tim treats Kristin like a princess and it was obvious, as he allowed everything about the wedding to be pink! I thought it was a cute illustration of their love. These two were precious on their big day. I’ll never forget when we finally got the couple alone together for a few minutes to take their portraits after the ceremony, right before the reception…Tim just wrapped his arms around Kristin and encircled her in a BIG bear hug hold and said “ahhh, this is what I’ve been waiting for ALL day.” It was such a sweet moment. Kristin is a girl after my own heart as she loves fun, and spunk as well as LOTS of pictures! The couple so graciously allowed us to extend their portrait time-frame after the ceremony in order to get more fun shots! I love it! Kristin and Tim were a great couple to work with! Hope you enjoy just a small taste of their day!

These two are a charming and hilarious pair. Caitlin with her out-going personality and spunky outlook, and Randy with his calm and cool temperament. These two became sweethearts in middle school and are still-goin’ strong now 10ish years later! They seem to know each other like the back of their hand. The image of Randy rolling his eyes as Caitlin arrives late (to her credit- only slightly) to the church on their wedding day pops into mind. And then when asking the two love birds if they were heading to their honeymoon that night, they both look at each other and laughed as Caitlin says, “I still have to go home and pack.” Ha! So cute. And they understand each other so well. For such a young couple it was as though they’d already been married for several years. I’m so excited for them and their journey ahead of them full of many adventures together.

"The First Look"

"GREAT bouquet!"

There were a TON of more great images from this wonderful wedding…but I mean, I posted almost 20 pics! Jeez-la-weez! I can’t post ALL of them!
