I made a special trip to Dallas to meet this lil’ man. He was quite worth it. Precious little boy, for sure! He was so calm the whole time. He made my job easy. The shoot went without a hitch. He was a lovely baby model. Looking forward to working with more new babies; even in Texas – so worth the drive!

After doing several nakey newborn shoots the past couple of years, I was bound to have at least one tinkle incident (and yes, I said tinkle.). And boy howdy! Clayton was the lil’ man for the job; and he sure delivered! We were almost finished with the entire shoot and were doing some naked shots of Clayton when all of the sudden I see a geyser shoot up from between Ben’s hands and low and behold, it was headed straight for me! Ahhh! You better believe I hop, skipped, and jumped back two feet! Luckily my camera made it out safe and the majority of myself with the exception of my shoe getting a lil’ of the action. Hahaha! I died laughing. Funniest thing YET for a newborn shoot. These lil’ ones – they like to keep me on my toes, for sure! This lil’ man, is the new source of joy for couple, Benjamin and Lauren, as they just adopted him! Clayton is super precious, already full of spunk, and muscle. A tough and strong lil’ guy. And stubborn. Those attributes worked in his favor when trying to get him positioned how I liked. Lil’ turkey. So excited for this lil’ family and all the adventures that lay ahead of them!

Again with the smirking! I swear he was thinking I was playing peek-a-boo with him behind my camera.

Baby Finn was born January 10th at 9 lbs 2 ozs. I think that classifies Jackie now as one tough woman! Whew. When I arrived at Jackie’s and Mike’s house to do baby Finn’s pictures she explained to me he had a rough day all day and she wasn’t quite sure how well he’d to for pictures. However, he did remarkably well. He stayed quite calm majority of the time and stayed asleep as well. He was quite precious. As long as he was warm and had his “hair-dryer” white noise on (from Jackie’s iphone) he was good to go. It cracked me up how well that worked; quite the handy phone app. Hope you love this precious lil’ ones cute baby features as much as I do!

Finn was also the first to wear my sock monkey hat. It looked pretty darn cute on him. And just look at those lil' baby hands!

Oh. My. Goodness. Is this not the cutest picture you've ever seen?! LOVE all the lil' rolls and wrinkles!

Oh my how this lil’ baby Reese is quite the doll. But don’t let her good looks fool you, she’s quite smart as well. This is a true story – we placed her on her belly for a couple of shots and apparently she was NOT havin’ it and she literally did her first roll over. Serious. I saw it with my very own eyes. I now dub her the genius baby. With such advanced development as that, she’s bound to be a smart girl. Ask her dad, he’ll be happy to brag on her. Ha. Reese is a beauty, a cutie, and an easy subject to photograph. Her first photo shoot was a success; she’s headed towards good things! Hope you enjoy this precious girl’s first pics!

This lil’ bundle of joy was rather reserved. He may have whined a little bit, but overall he was super calm. Even when he was awake, eyes wide and all, he was just observant taking in all his surroundings. I was shocked even when he did sleep. My lil’ friend, LK, his sister was just her normal spunky, loud self. It didn’t bother him one bit. I was impressed. He must have been used to that in the womb. She was already playing a good care-taker though. She would tell him “Shhh baby, it’s okay. Be happy.” It was very resolute too. She had full confidence in her soothing abilities. Denisha already had several outfits lined up for her sweet baby boy. I loved the lil’ Santa outfit the most (but I am partial to Christmas). Unfortunately, I didn’t make any of the outfits in this shoot, but they are all super cute! Hope you enjoy this precious lil’ one!

She's checking out what he's wearing. There's a shiny button on his diaper cover. You know how girls are and shiny things...
I’m sure in comparison to my last newborn shoot of the preemie twin babies, this baby does not appear to be a newborn. But in fact she is! The twins weighed only 5 pounds whereas this beautiful baby girl weighed 9 pounds straight out of the shoot! Whew. Kendra is a strong woman, that’s all I’ve got to say about that. But let me tell you this baby is just adorable! She already had great dark hair, beautiful eyes that I’m sure are to be bright blue just like her mama’s, and gorgeous pouty heart-shaped lips! You can just tell this baby is beautiful and is going to become even more gorgeous with age. I’m sure she’ll compare quite close to her adorable sister, Allison, who is also just precious! I’ve had several boy newborn shoots in a row, so it was nice having a girl in the mix to switch it up….mostly because it was like playing dress up with a baby doll. Kendra let me try out several outfits and items I’ve had just sitting and waiting for a girl to come along to use on! Hope you enjoy looking at this beautiful baby girl’s pictures as much as I did taking them!

I love this headband I found on-line awhile back! So glad we got to use it! Just like a lil' baby flapper.

So excited about her baby sister! She's ready to play too! She kept telling her baby sister to "wake up, wake up." Ha! I thought it was precious.
It was SO cool to shoot a twin newborn shoot for the first time! I had no clue what to expect…but one thing is for sure: there was double the entertainment, double the cuteness, and double the sweetness. They were so adorable and different in their own way that you can already see their inner personalities coming to light. I couldn’t get over how hilarious it was that Aiden continually just laid his legs on top of his brother through half the shoot. Megan thinks it might be payback because Easton was on top in the womb and so now it’s finally Aiden’s chance to be on top! Ha! It’s amazing how similar they look! I know they’re identical twins, but I kept searching for something that would help identify the difference between the two…it was hard! Megan had the idea to always put Aiden on the left and Easton on the right (so now YOU know which one is which). Aiden was also the first born, hence his name begins with the letter that comes first in the alphabet. Easy enough to remember, right?! These two lil’ guys were already acting like brothers too. One minute they were cuttin’ up, making silly faces (like Zoolander), then the next minute they’re kicking and pushing each other, and then the next they’re sweet lil’ angels just snuggling together! I love it! I can’t wait to see these two start to grow up and develop their personalities even more. I’m putting in my bet that Aiden will be the reserved, calm, more practical one; while Easton will be the hyper, entertainer, social butterfly. We shall see…

This one makes me think they're in a band together: Aiden is rockin' the microphone as the lead singer, and Easton is jammin' on the air guitar.
What’s so funny about newborn shoots is that they are always so unpredictable. You never know what that sweet lil’ angel has up their sleeve. When getting all the materials and props ready for the shoot, mom was getting him ready for his nakey pictures. So she stripped him down and what else would a free, naked boy do? Yup. Surprise!!! Hahaha! I died laughing. I’m sure it wasn’t as funny to Stephanie and Jeremy, but I sure got a kick out of it. From then on he was a perfect photographic subject. He fell right into his deep sleep and was perfectly content as we continually performed outfit changes and moved him around. He worked my lil’ crochet outfit I made for him super well and he was perfectly content hangin’ out in dad’s camping backpack (which Jeremy was super pleased with – he’s a born camper!). I clearly went with a black and white color scheme on these…there’s just something so timeless about black and white; however I still included one color image just to show he is also super cute in color! HA! Trevor was a beautiful baby boy to photograph and I’ll enjoy capturing his first year in shoots to come!
