These two are high school sweethearts from my old stompin’ grounds, WHS. Whoot, whoot! They graduated just a few years under me – small world! They’ve stayed together the past few years and now reside in Tulsa. This lovely couple made the drive from Tulsa just for this shoot. So awesome! At first we were nervous about the weather (as March is rather unpredictable), but it turned out to be a perfect overcast day! It was a tad bit windy (as I’m sure you’ll recall Marissa), but she rocked that Oklahoma wind! Ha! They were an easy couple to capture. Very cuddly, affectionate, and giggly – totally my taste! Hope you enjoy this adorable couple’s pictures!

I have the privilege of meeting so many beautiful people with photography. I mean, seriously. Kaitlyn and Luis are a beautiful couple. Their photos were so easy to take. I hope I did them justice, because they could quite seriously pose for magazines. I was so in love and inspired taking their photos I had a hard time stopping; pretty sure I wore Luis out! I had a difficult time choosing which pictures to post. Some of my most favorite pictures of couples, in general, are when they’re not looking at the camera. I love just capturing them together, interacting, as if I’m not even there. These two were such naturals at showing affection, it just so happened that my most favorites are of just the two of them snuggling. Too cute! Hope you enjoy this lovely couple’s pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Work it! Own it! Such models!

I could totally see this in a magazine for a sunglass ad.

Karan and Avantika actually met in high school in India; however, they didn’t start dating until medical school. Now they have both completed medical school and are working on completing their first year of residency. Sadly though, they didn’t get into the same residency program and Avantika is completing her first year in Pediatrics in New York, while Karan is here in Oklahoma City at the OU Med Center completing his in Neurology. How’s that for the engaged/newlywedded life? These two will be completing their engagement ceremony and wedding ceremony in India with the rest of their family and friends this February. I’m sure their wedding festivities will be beautiful as they’ve discussed all the elaborate details with me! This is definitely why I love photography, meeting new people! I learned so much just within our engagement session (including how little I know about India). Ha. They were a great pair to work with!

Taylor and Jordan met while working at an after school program for kids, so what’s more fitting than to do their engagements at a park?! Totally Taylor’s idea, I can’t claim the credit. I loved it! We had so much fun. It was rather entertaining for me to watch adults on kids toys. Hahaha. They were great through the whole shoot; they were completely up for anything I suggested. It was just like being kids again! I’m sure the kids that were actually playing at the park weren’t quite thinking the same thing…but we didn’t care! Taylor and Jordan are a super easy going couple and it was lovely working with the two of them. I’m looking forward to their wedding this June as well! Everyone loves a good June wedding…especially an outdoor one…very excited about that!

That's right, folks, they created their OWN artwork. Pretty great, huh? I love it.

The second I started taking photos of these two, I knew it was going to be a great shoot. They’re naturals in front of the camera. It was easy to capture their love, flirtations, and just plain playfulness. These two are so cute; am I right? I told them they are going to make some beautiful blonde headed babies one day. Seriously. They’re precious together. You can just tell they go so well together. They made my job easy. I am so looking forward to these two love birds June wedding this summer!

Ummm yes. Love.

I was inspired by these two love birds that made it in the shoot for the title of this post. I thought it was appropriate for my engaged friends Natalie and Brad as well. I was so excited Nattie and Bra) let me take their engagement pictures! I was even more excited that she’s getting married on Jeff and my 5 year anniversary! It will be such a pleasure to share our anniversary with such great friends as we get to be guests! Yay! My goal for this shoot was just to capture the essence of who Nat and Brad are. They are two of the most open, kind, down-to-earth, relaxed, fun, hilarious, out-going, creatively talented people I know. Natalie is a lovely artist, as we met in college in our Art Edu classes. And Brad is a fantastic instrumental artist – I can’t even being to list all the instruments he can play! What a great duo they are! Hope you love and adore them as much as I do!

Sorry, Nat, I just HAD to post this one. This was purely just for kicks - but they played along any way!

I take great pleasure in doing engagement pictures, because I just LOVE love! I’m a sucker for the mushy stuff so I soak up every minute of it! When Whitney approached me about maybe doing a unique session at a library I was so excited – what a great idea! BUT, who would have thought so many people actually go and read at the library on weekdays! Sheesh! So we had to nix that idea and improvise as the sun was quickly setting. However, we got several shots at near dark that I love! I’m definitely inspired to do more night-time shoots.  ** Just a lil’ plug here: if you know you’ll be getting engaged this fall and you love Christmas as much as I do – contact me so we can do maybe a night-time Christmas lights shoot! How fun would that be? Sounds magical to me! ** Any who – while chatting it up with Whitney and Matt come to find out Matt is from Amber, Oklahoma (small town by Chickasha, FYI) and he’s actually best friends with the brother of the bride I did my very first wedding for back in 2007. What are the odds?! I love when I meet new people that know people that I already knew! (Ha that sounds funny!). What a small world it truly is. One of my favorite things about these two is their height difference! Isn’t it so cute? She has to stand on her tippy-toes to even be remotely close to his size. These two made it easy-peazy to shoot super cute, flirty, and romantic pictures. I just love how they turned out!
